The NHS in the UK plans to ban Robotic Thoracic Surgery

NHS carries different consultations regarding different techniques in Thoracic Surgery. One of the latest is related to Robotic Surgery which requires very expensive equipments and offers no clear benefits compared to other already established techniques.

NHS has concluded that there is not sufficient evidence to support routinely use of robotic assisted lung and esophageal resections.
