Thoracic Surgeon at the Thoracic Surgery Service (Salamanca University Hospital) and Associate Professor of Surgery (School of Medicine, Salamanca University). Director of pre and postgrade Medical Education at the Thoracic Surgery Service. She was awarded with the Bromptom Prize (ESTS top reward) in 2009. A Fellow of the recently created European Board of Thoracic Surgeons.

Currently she is responsible for the teaching program of the ESTS School of Thoracic Surgery in Prague. and a member of the Council of the European Society of Thoracic Surgeons.
