M.D. and Ph.D. at Salamanca University. Residency training in Thoracic Surgery at San Sebastian (Spain). EBTCS certified (both Cardiac and Thoracic). Adult cardiac surgery practice until 2016 when she moved back to Salamanca University Hospital where she was appointed as thoracic surgeon.

Starting January 2018, she is an Associate Professor of Anatomy at Salamanca University.
